Congratulations to PMHS Softball team as they extended their winning streak today defeating Belmont 11-0. PMHS pitcher Ella Bernier threw a no hitter striking out 17 Belmont batters. Bernier now holds the school record for career strikeouts with 545. The T-Wolves 8 games left in the 2024 regular season.

LOCATION CHANGE! Due to the rain today, the Varsity Baseball game is being played at Bryant Field in Belmont & the Varsity Softball game is being played at Belmont High School. The JV Baseball game has been cancelled as well.

Congratulations to PMHS Softball pitcher Ella Bernier for reaching her 500th strikeout milestone today vs Monadnock.

8th Grade Students & Families are invited to visit PMHS on Thursday, May 2 at 6:00 pm to meet teachers and administrators and to learn more about the school’s programs and the registration & course selection processes for next year. All current 8th Grade students from Alton and Barnstead are encouraged to attend. Students who reside outside of Alton & Barnstead may also attend this open house to learn more about the school’s Open Enrollment program.

To the communities of Alton and Barnstead. You are all invited to celebrate and support our student artists and the visual arts in New Hampshire. Prospect Mountain has four students and eight pieces of artwork that are participating in Student Art Month (SAM). Winners will be announced very early in May. All participating artists will be celebrated at the May 10th Fisher Cats game in Manchester. Before the game all of the students' artwork will be shown on the Jumbotron. Winners will be recognized on the field to receive their prizes and throw in one of the first pitches. After the game there will be a fireworks show. LOCATION CHANGE! Due to the rain we had last night, tonight's Varsity Boys Baseball & Varsity Girls Softball games have been moved to Alton Central School. Games will still start at 4:00PM. Come out and support your Timberwolves!

Due to widespread power outages and impassable roads, Alton Central School, Barnstead Elementary School, and Prospect Mountain High School will be closed on Friday, April 5. There will be no school and no remote learning schedule. Stay warm and safe.

Alton Central School, Barnstead Elementary School, and Prospect Mountain High School will have a two-hour delay tomorrow morning, Friday, April 5. If a cancellation becomes necessary, that announcement will be made in the morning. Until then, all students and staff should plan on a two-hour delay.

Thursday, April 4th. Widespread power and internet outages today may present a challenge to log on and complete classwork. We will continue with the remote day, ask students and teachers to do what they can, and understand that some may not be able to access Google Classroom. Absences will be excused. Stay safe and warm.

Good Afternoon, Based on the forecast of snow accumulations of up to 18", tomorrow, April 4th, will be a Blizzard Bag day for students in grades K-3 and a Remote Learning day for students in grades 4-12. Principals will send a follow-up email with Blizzard Bag/Remote Learning expectations. Be safe and take care.

Good Evening, Due to the impending storm and the April 5th early release, there will be a change to the school day on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. April 3rd will be an early release for all students while Friday, April 5th will be a full day. We will continue to monitor the storm. If a cancellation on Thursday, April 4th is necessary, that day will be a Blizzard Bag day for students in K - 3 and a remote day for students in grades 4 - 12. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding of this change.

Prospect Mountain High School, Alton Central School, and Barnstead Elementary School will all be closed on Saturday, March 23, 2024. All previously-scheduled activities are canceled.

The #9 ranked Kingswood/Prospect Mtn. Knightwolves advance to the second round of the Div. I Girls Hockey Tournament after defeating a tough #8 BB/Londonderry/Trinity Team 4-3. The Knightwolves will take on #1 ranked Pinkerton Academy, Friday, March 1 at 1:00 PM at St Ansel's College.

The Principal Search Committee is thrilled to announce that we will be hosting a forum for our school community where you will have the chance to meet and engage with the finalists for Prospect Mountain High School principal. Your input and involvement in this process will be invaluable as we look for a leader who shares our school’s mission, vision, and core values.
